About Dr Kilby
A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Dr Kilby completed his Orthopaedic training in the Sydney North Side Training Scheme before returning to his foundations in rural NSW to commence practice in Bathurst.
Dr. Kilby’s upbringing on a sheep, cattle, and wheat property in the northeast of Coonamble, coupled with his education in the Bathurst Orange region, instilled in him a strong connection to rural communities. He is deeply passionate about rural health and is dedicated to advancing the well-being of these communities. His primary focus lies in achieving optimal joint function and delivering outstanding patient outcomes. His goal is to provide high-quality, personalised care of the highest clinical standards for all his patients.
Dr Kilby primarily specialises in hip and knee replacement, ACL & knee arthroscopy, fracture management and has a particular interest in revision total knee replacement and revision ACL reconstruction.
Dr. Kilby holds fellowship status with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. His comprehensive training involved rotations at prominent trauma centres, including Royal Prince Alfred, Nepean Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital.
Additionally, he completed a specialised Paediatric Term at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Oregon, USA, and elective rural rotations in Dubbo, Orange, and Lismore. Dr. Kilby has also completed a Fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty and ACL Reconstruction, working under the mentorship of Dr. Adrian van der Rijt MMBS (honours), RCSE, RACS.
